Elton M. Hyder is a lifelong Fort Worth citizen, businessman, and investor with a proud record of leadership, education, and service. A graduate of the Lawrenceville School, at the University of North Carolina, and the University of Texas School of Law, he furthered his studies at Harvard Business School, Harvard Law School, Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business, and Cambridge University. His greatest contribution to public service was serving four years on the Federal Reserve Bank Board of Directors.
He was also a Director for Texas American Bank, BBVA Compass, and held long-standing roles on major civic boards, including The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Fort Worth Inc., and many charitable boards, including PBS North Texas and
90.1 Radio, Cook Children’s Hospital, Lena Pope Home, Texas Wesleyan University, Emory and Henry University, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Deeply influenced by his grandparents’ and father’s legacy of generosity, Hyder has traveled
extensively and remains committed to humanitarian efforts and contributing to helping others.
